Abdominoplasty - Tummy Tuck

Abdominoplasty will remove excess skin and weight from the lower abdomen. This procedure improves the waistline and tighten up your figure. Depending upon suitability further contouring can be achieved with liposuction or liposculpting. Due to use of drains following surgery, there will be a short inpatient stay required. Depending upon your requirements mini-abdominoplasty + liposuction, full abdominoplasty +/- muscle tightening or Fleur de Lys abdominoplasty can be offered.

Bilateral arm Reduction

Brachioplasty or bilateral arm reduction uses liposuction technique combined with removal of excess hanging skin to give an improved shape and contour to the arms. This is performed as a day case procedure.

Blepharoplasty - eyelid reduction

Upper or lower blepharoplasties are techniques to remove the excess skin from around the eyes. This gives a brighter periorbital appearance and improves the heaviness of excess skin around the eyes. This can be performed under local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic as a day case procedure. It is often performed alongside a brow lift to improve the aesthetics and position of the upper face.

Breast - Augmentation

Breast augmentation aims to give you a natural boost improving your shape and form. Various techniques and implant styles will mean we can create an individualised plan to deliver achievable goals. Pre-operative planning and fitting will take place to identify the right implants for you. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure.

Breast - Mastopexy +/- Augmentation

Breast tightening procedures will provide an uplift and reposition the breast to a more aesthetic resting position. Depending on your aims and suitability, this can be performed on its own or in combination with an augmentation to provide additional lift and volume. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure.

Breast - Reduction

Breast reduction surgery aims to improve the aesthetics of the breasts and also addresses symptoms relating to excess weight of the breasts. This can often lead to improved posture and reduced back ache. There are different techniques suitable for each individual which will be discussed during consultation. My technique concentrates on breast shaping and remodelling with a limited vertical scar skin reduction to reduce the extent of scars following this procedure. If required, a traditional Wise pattern and ‘anchor’ shaped reduction can be performed. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure.

Browlift

Brow lift may be Open or Closed/Endoscopic (Keyhole) techniques reposition the brow to bring them back to a higher resting position giving a brighter look to the periorbital and forehead region. Often combined with upper blepharoplasties for periorbital rejuvenation. This addresses both the upper eyelids and the brow through one scar. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure.

Face Lift

There are various facelifting techniques that can be used to help achieve your individual goals. Depending upon your requirements, the aim would be to improve your jawline, improve your neck definition and generally smooth out any fine cheek and perioral lines. Often used together with other rejuvenation techniques a tailored consultation will mean that your needs are addressed.This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure.

Gynaecomastia

Through liposuction, excision or a combination of techniques, excess male breast tissue can be removed to create a more natural flatter chest. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure.

Liposuction

Liposuction is an effective way to improve body contouring and often is used in addition to other procedures to improve the aesthetic result such as in breast reduction, arm and thigh reduction and abdominoplasty cases. It is also a very effective tool for harvesting fat to then be transferred to contour defects for example when lipomodelling / fat injection / grafting for breast asymmetry. It is usually performed under a general anaesthetic but in certain cases can be performed under local anaesthetic sedation. This is performed as a day case procedure.

Neck Lift

A neck lift or cervicoplasty uses a number of techniques to re-create an improved jaw-line and neck line appearance. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure and is often combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as face lift and blepharoplasties.

Pinnaplasty

Pinnaplasty aims to set the ears back to a more natural position. Depending upon how your ears sit will determine what techniques can be used. Both adult and children’s ears can be corrected. For children please note that this will be performed under my care with full paediatric support at UHND, Durham.

Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty or nose reshaping aims to improve the aesthetic position and shape of the nose as well as potentially addressing airway issues due to the underlying anatomy. I use an open approach to allow the best control of the underlying nasal structure / scaffold. As there are many subtle alterations needed to provide support, often rhinoplasty requires harvesting of further cartilage support from either the ear cartilage or even rib cartilage in some cases. A detailed examination will allow a tailored approach to your nasal correction. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure. Also note that non-surgical rhinoplasty may be a suitable alternative depending on the issues you need addressing. A detailed consultation is needed to identify your treatment options.

Scar Revisions

Depending upon the size, location and complexity of scar, revision surgery can help re-orientate a scar or simply aim to improve the scar quality. Management of complex hypertrophic or keloid scars often require a number of treatment modalities to be effective.

Thigh Reduction

Thigh reduction can use a combination of liposuction and removal of excess skin often as part of a combined body contouring procedure. This is performed under general anaesthetic as a day case procedure.
